This full Peruvian, 3/8 Accoyo girl was a beauty from birth, and hit the ground running on the AOBA show circuit! Awarded her first blue ribbon at only 6 months of age and as the youngest in her large class at the 2006 MAPACA Jubilee, Grande Alera also garnered a decisive first place just two weeks later at the 2006 PAOBA Breeders Showcase, followed by a second place at the AOBA National Conference - all before the age of 7 months.
Along with having lovely conformation and excellent fleece ... |

You practically have to stand on your head to see where Stellarr's sumptuous fiber stops and what little belly fiber she has begins!
Her sire was Judges' Choice at 2009 Buckeye Show
Her dam was Judges' Choice for Best Brightness in MAPACA's Fleece Show.
As the daughter of two multiple ribbon winners - Morning Sky's Grande Alera and Heather's Acre Accoyo Sirius, Stellarr is just that (with an extra "r")! We call her a "little sheep" because she has a considerable amount of density, and has tiny bundles of bright, beautiful fleece. Her fleece is crimpy all the way down to her belly, down her legs - just everywhere! Grande Alera shears about 10# of fleece each year, and received a Judge's Choice ribbon for Best Brightness at a MAPACA fleece show, so perhaps Stellarr is following in her footsteps! Her sire, Heather's Acre Accoyo Sirius, also has very bright fleece with matchstick bundling and - among many other honors - was the Judges' Choice at the 2009 Buckeye Show. He is also a result of the highly coveted pairing of Accoyo Starburst and Accoyo Odyssey.
Stellarr is extremely calm and quiet, and apparently has inherited the temperament of her dam and sire as well.
At the 2011 Best of the US, judge Babs Manion awarded Stellarr a second place ribbon, although she categorized her as having an elite fleece, and commented positively on her brightness, density, and pleasing head, and great, tight crimp and architecture. Judge Wade Gease was also wowed by her in the Breeder's Best Three and said that it was a shame that she wasn't a male! Judge Jude Anderson complimented Stellarr's crimp and well defined architecture, trueness to type, and said that she had a "sexy" fleece.
When Bob was shearing Stellarr's first fleece, I was brought to tears as I watched the blinding, irridescent, crimpy, flourescent white fleece rolling off her body and legs. It was everything that we've been working so hard to produce.
Morning Sky's Siriusly Stellarr is a very special girl, and we will watch her progress from a distance as she grows!
